To add chat like we use to have? I think that would keep more people here and sell more products from their advertisers if they had chat again.
I remember when I first came here, we had an audio, video chat which was nice being able to connect the words to a face in real time. Then they took that away and had meebo which was just texting chat but that was ok because at least we could connect to those in need.
Now we have nothing except the support groups and I noticed most of the newbies don't hang around for long like they use to when we had chat. They may post a topic in a group and then you never see or hear from them again.
Just sayin, if DS wants to grow, why not shop for some chat software to add to this sight and make it better instead of allowing it to continue to deteriorate from being one dimensional.
IMO!

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

The activity page only goes 4 pages back before the activity disappears and sometimes those four pages are used up by loving friends sending hugs to all their friends. While that's great, it takes away the ONE FINAL WAY we have of following our friends!
There's no flexibility in choosing which friends we want to follow. That would at least help somewhat.
The way it stands now, DS has made it nearly impossible to be supportive w/o going thru each and every friend's profile one by one checking. And even that doesn't work cuz not all of the journals are open UNTIL we click on their journal link. Really, who has that kind of time?
PLEASE DS, we've been begging for your help to make this site conducive to being able to support each other and sadly, for over TWO YEARS now, it's been the exact opposite. At least that's been my experience. I've been on this site for over six years and I can honestly say it ain't what it used to be and that's not a good thing IMHO.
Many of us, like me, have stopped coming as often and stopped posting journals because no one knows we've done so and so we get no support and it's really hard to give support cuz we don't know who needs it and that is a DIRECT result of the lack of email alerts, inefficient activity page and no chat.
Just adding MHO.
How much trouble would that have been to put into place?
Seems like everything is 'take away' and loss.
Truecolors, I think I have been here as long as you and I know of 3 suicide attempts that were stopped, thanks to those email alerts! I am sure there were many more!
DS has alot of potential and it's sad they don't live up to it!
