Ads for DS

Uhh - I find this interesting and kind of funny.

I was in a member group and on the right side, where the ads are placed, there was an ad for joining Daily Strength came up - lol.

Aren't we already members if we can access member groups? That cracked me up and I just wanted to share that little tidbit of humor.

Well as the right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing here some times it does NOT surprise me to be honest.

There is probably a logical explanation - but right now I can't think of one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL = me neither Hathani. I do think, however, that they might consider a better use of their advertising funds..... ;)

I mean - urging us to sign up for a site we already belong to - and it's theirs? Seems like a little overkill to me....

NONmembers can see both DS groups and MEMBER groups.

There are UNlisted member groups where they cannot be searched for, using the DS member group search and there are listed member groups that can be. But all of them can be viewed by anyone (or so I am pretty sure). So if I am correct, and I think I am, those ads would be 'useful' to nonmembers viewing them. To be certain, sign out of DS and you should be able to access any member group same as if signed in (just can't post (interact) to them.

WV.... I did realise that was the reason for it but things are pretty boring around the place right now just thought I would have some fun with LJ.

At least my account is working - not more having to sign on repeatedly so that is something good - NO?

Maybe I will go read posts on W&T.............then again maybe I don't need the agro!

Actually WV I was just sort of teasing - I mean here I was sitting and chatting on DS - and the ad popped up urging me to join DS - of which I am a member.

You have to agree it would seem a little strange and humorous for those of us who are not computer geniuses and don't know that you can access our site via google.
