This season is a difficult one for many people. Christmas Eve is one of THE most difficult times.
Yesterday I tried to log in her in the afternoon - and in the evening. I got a message that the services was not available.
It appeared to me that no one bothered to fix the problem.
Given that this is a support site that many of us rely on during hard times - I think that allowing the site to be down for many hours, during a very hard time, was inexcusable.
Yes - this site is free to us - but DS does get advertising money from those who advertise here. If we're not here - there is no one to advertise to.
I am not a fan of facebook - but yesterday I signe up there because of DS being down.
SOMEONE needs to fix the software for this site so that it works.
The new lead software engineer came on to DS in April of this year. It appears that this site has been going steadily down hill since that time.
What is happening here?

As for Facebook being down as well....................wasn't down in my world................a bunch of us were over there complaining about DS being down...........wondering what people looking for support were doing............feeling bad for them..........
As for Kudos to DS...................Thanks DS for replying to my email regarding why the site was down...................funny that your email got through........................I have been having a bit of a hard time getting email from DS..............I think I have mentioned that a few times before..............
And one last thing...................Potty mouth............Oh yea.........I cuss like a drunken sailor..........I tried to keep this particular post "clean"................but don't count on my next one being that way:):)
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas..............and try to find something exciting to do for the New Year.......cause I hear DS might be down..............LOL
I came here on Christmas Eve to give some hugs to people I know are lonely and I could not get on. I could not send out group Merry Christmas messages. I was very glad I did my e-card earlier.
Interesting to hear that DS piggy backs on Netflix. Perhaps having their own "host" server might solve some of these constant problems. We certainly never had these on-going issues before the migration.
And of course, we are all very thankful DS is here. (Bows gratefully). After all, how else would I meet so many people with common illnesses and be able to be FB friends with them!!!!
