Does anyone else do this? I get so hyper-focused doing whatever (sewing, being on Twitter, doing computer work for my broker etc.) that I will forget to eat. I literally will not have a bite to eat all day long or a sip of water until dinner time and even then, I only begin to notice when I've gotten to the point where my stomach so hungry that it is eating itself, and then I'm so hungry that I go and eat wayyyyyy too much. SO BAD, I know, but I never do it on purpose. My husband thinks that's the biggest problem I have with my diet - maybe, but while he says it I'm thinking the sugar and carbs aren't helping either...
Also, I hate to cook. Just sayin'. I think this is also a huge problem for me. I opt for fast and easy preparation meals, which tend to be a lot of carbs - especially since I have been a vegetarian since I was 8 years old (that's 35 years ago). This also makes getting enough protein difficult, but I just can't stomach the thought of eating something that had a face... :o/
Are any of you picky eaters too? Or is this a ME issue? :o)

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

My eyes are bigger than my stomach and I'm trying to kick that problem!
I do the fast easy, heat and eat meals myself. I'm sort of a picky eater. I know what I like and I stick to it. Thankfully I don't tire of the foods I like. Right now it's a lot of oatmeal, soup and tea. I love the chunky soups. Especially the rice and chicken ones, they are good, good for you and low in cals.... sorry my vegetarian friend lol.
Traveling - I hear you about the blood sugar. Sometimes wooziness is what makes me remember to eat, but that's only when I've already ignored the pangs of my stomach eating itself - like if I haven't eaten all day and it gets to be like 7 pm. I'll start feeling like I'm going to pass out. Then I binge. Ay yi yi. It's so stupid and simple to solve, but I can't seem to find the motivation or energy. Deep breaths, it WILL get better, it WILL get better...
Maybe that would be a good time for a cup of tea instead. Not his sugary stuff tho lol. I like orange and Chai and will start with the peppermint at night this weekend. I use zero calorie sweetener in it. There are also "diet" or low cal cocoas out there if you need a chocolate fix.
But having a yogurt while he eats is a good compromise also!
I can't say that I have ever gone without food long enough to have my stomach remind me. I did one day when I was dating start the day at 5AM with a garbage truck fire to extinquish, and breakfast after that around 8. Then I napped for a few hours, and went to work. At the time I worked in a bakery and didn't have much time for a proper meal. Boyfriend picked me up from work, we stopped to get ice cream and I stepped out of the truck and hit the ground due to lack of food. Stomach didn't tell me I was hungry, body did. But that was many years ago.
