If it gets bad enough and you feel dehydrated you may want to visit the er if you can't get in to see your doc quick enough.

Sounds like the poster isn't sure what she has. I think going to our physician first just for an assessment and then see if a GI is needed based on that clinical assessment. They may want to do stool samples first.
