We live in a world where The Stupid are allowed to walk among us. I guess that's the price of freedom.
Yeah tell those people to go take a short walk off a long pier! You know what else annoys me is people asking me when I am having babies! Like how is that anyone's business! I was hospitalized for a month this year! You think my body is ready for a pregnancy?!
People are insensitive and I bet whoever asked you that was mortified!
I don't get your question... Why would someone take birth control if they were trying to have a baby?
This was my 3rd time taking it so, I know it takes a long time to get out of my system, it can take up to 18 months. The 1st time I quit depo I waited for my cycles to regulate and got pregnant on the first try. The 2nd time I quit I waited for my cycles to return (it took a lot longer this time around) but it took around 9 months a trying/charting to get pregnant. It was very emotional and difficult to go thru that every month. Once I was pregnant, it was a high risk pregnancy and ended up with a c-section. All turned out well though thank the lord.
I believe my UC flare began while I was pregnant and slowly got worse and worse after my son was born. My OB then tells me how many women flare after pregnancy. She also told me that since I had these problems during my pregnancy that the likelyhood of them happening again puts me (and a baby) at risk, not to mention having another bad flare.
While I was pregnant I only took Asacol for my UC.
Hope some of this info helps!
Best wishes :)
Plus, if we're honest, a woman's value is often measured by whether she has or can give birth. And for full disclosure, I've never been pregnant. But that's another topic entirely.
Hey LLT81, I had a doctor with UC and she always flared after giving birth. That's fascinating to me.
Words to live by.
Shortly after I was sprung from the hospital fir a nasty flare a woman in line at the post office asked me when I was due. I was wearing a sack of a dress and absently holding my gut since I was overdue for a percocet at that moment - so I just said "June. Twins."
