Even if you're not bleeding, people with IBD should avoid aspirin.

If you're in pain, bleeding etc, then your diseases is active. So, yeah pain killers are great short term, but getting the disease in remission should be priority number one. I feel like sometimes we just put up with some symptoms as normal, when really, it's a sign we need to get on different meds, or take a different treatment approach.

i am taking TRAMADOL 100 MG for my neck pain, 3 tablet a day, somehow my UC is under control, i don't go to batrom as much as befor, i talk to my GI doctor abut it, he had no answer for it, right know i am stoped taking 6MP and ASACOL, dos anyone has answer for it, i hope i stay the same,tierd of all CU medications, is been 4 days i am taking TRAMADOL, IS VERY SUPRISING FOR ME.
I need to know why .

Yessiry, when all else has failed the old pain killer trick seems to do the job. Not only avoid aspirin but ibuprofen will do damage to the colon and kidneys. As a matter of fact acetaminophen will do great damage to the liver if taken long term. I totally agree with tramadol because it doesn't get me high and works o.k. If I could be guaranteed never to be cut off oxycontin would be my choice. I'm the first one to admit that would be my downfall. It's a shame because that stuff gives 100% remission for me. As it is now my symptoms keep changing. Some symptoms are gone, some have returned, and some are new. If late stage4 bone cancer is my correct diagnosis, I will insist on some type of powerful pain killer. I didn't think anything could bother me more than the constant unrelenting burning of my ulcerative colitis. I'm having mind blowing bouts of sharp shooting pain in my extremities and back. They're occuring closer and closer together. Strangely my survival instinct is stronger than ever. I'm not going down without waging war on this. I'll get my new test results thursday and if i'm positive will start some new radical type of transplant therapy with a mad scientist as early as early as jan3.mm

well, tram. is a pain killer, my dog, hurt her leg, and the vet put her on it, and she is better, when nothing else works, I take vicoprofen, and it helps when pentasa doesn't, but pentasa is expensive, so I try bentyl first...Also, I take kleefex, that is an antibiotic which helps the crohns for me.

2 days ago, when nothing was helping for the pain, I looked at all my meds, and found something that did help, it was donnetal, with phenabatrol, I will address that with the doctor.
