After a recent ER visit (July 18) my CAT scan revealed I had two golf ball size abscesses in my lower pelvic area. I was hospitalized and the abscesses were drained with surgery to follow. They removed my ileum (which has always been the main site for my Crohn's) as well as the areas of the abscesses and additionally where they found a third abscess and a fistula on my sigmoid colon. NOT FUN!! Anyways, it's been a little over a week since my surgery and despite the obvious recovery pains, I am having shooting pains in my pelvic area still. I tend to believe it is where the abscesses were removed...so why would I be getting these pains? Has anyone else had this experience post surgery? Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

Are you resting at home? I know they often do a pill cam test to determine how successful the surgery went. I also know Bart on this site also has had surgeries and controls his cd with Humira. I know surgery is not a cure so I hope it's just post surgical pain.
