I have had CD for the past 4 years and recently my disease has gotten worse. I am on 6mp, pentasa and an anti biotic for a fistula that has formed (surgery will be on Nov. 16th to repair it). It seems that any solid foods that I eat seem to bother me and now I am having periods of nausea throughout the day. I was thinking of trying a liquid diet for a bit to see if that helps settle things down a bit. My question to you all is how would I go about a liquid diet? Have any of you had any success with it or do you think that maybe the specific carbohydrate diet would work best? I am just trying to find a better solution than pumping me with more meds. Any suggestions?

When it comes to sales people it causes my anxiety to spike through the roof and about a week ago my 2015 jeep grandcherokee had 200k on it.i had that car from when it was brand new 3 weeks before my daughter was born. I'm driving it and something didn't seem right I asked my husband to drive it he said he thinks the transmission was going and our mechanic told us he was right and time for a new...

Best of luck to you. Hope you feel better real soon.
The point of this is who would have thought? I wouldn't put yourself on any diet before talking to your doctor. You should have a plan with your GI and work together to achieve goals. There is no reason to put yourself through anything for no reason.
I wonder if this is similar Ashley- last week, I did something really stupid, without thinking. I took my normal vitamins in the morning after breakfast- multi vitamin, fish oil, folic acid, calcium-magnesium, vitamin D. Never had a problem with taking those.
BUT, I also added one of those Emergen-C packets in my water because I was feeling a little run down, like I was coming down with something, and so I was drinking it while taking my vitamins. Within a half hour, I had diarrhea (which I rarely get any more, even when flaring) and my mouth IMMEDIATELY went dry. It was the weirdest thing. I felt instantly sick, sweaty, nauseous, etc. Well, duh, I'm sure I completely bombarded my system with all these vitamins and minerals at once and I wonder if I had a little mini overdose or something. I felt like hell for a couple of days after, despite my UC being in remission right now.
By the way, I love those Emergen-C packets.
This is a good lesson for me. I think there is all this information out there, plus all of us here who are exchanging information, and we forget that this disease is not only different for everyone, it can change from year to year personally! I hadn't seen my doctor since June and I need to be better about that!
