I lost lots of hair when taking Salofalk. similar drug. as soon as i was off of it the hair started growing back.

I think women just may notice the hair loss more than men sometimes since women's hair is usually longer and hair loss inwomen is just more unusual in general . I have hair loss from a drug that is not related to my UC. It's mostly just above my temples and I can see new growth but it comes in kind of fine.

also, this drug made me feel worse. more cramping, and didn't help my symptoms.
gluten free diet has been the best thing for controlling and preventing flares. If i eat too much sugar, processed foods,& dairy, i start flaring. but cortifoam enemas really help and getting my diet back on track usually turns things around within a week or so.

Hi, I was becoming almost bald as a result of taking asacol (solofailk)
I is over a year know I am not taking any medication for my COLITIS
also stress cussed to loos my hair , the only medication I take know is Tramadol for my joint pains. thanks god I am ok know,

I was on the Lialda for 4 years and never experienced any hair loss but I think it's different for everyone. Best of luck to you, I hope you feel better soon.

Davidvafa, my gi docs still won't admit my joint pain has anything to do with UC.

Not sure what your GI is thinking as it's kind of common knowledge people with IBD often experience joint pain. This is supported by legitimate medical resources which note that extraintestinal manifestations of IBD include those that are musculoskeletal. My GI has been treating me for my joint pain in my hands for over a year now.

Hi to all, just want to let you know my joint pain is usually is in my hands my neck my arms and my knees, my GI doctor did not recommends Advil , Aspirin,,,,, , or any over a counter pain killers , Tramadol has no Aspirin to it and is safe for UC also im not going to bathroom as much as I used go.my hair lost stopped too, doing exercise is very important when r taking weird medications,, but everyone is different.
