been in a relationship wit my g/f since march of 07. she knew about me gut problem approximately 1/2 hour after we met.. Due to circumstances beyond my control, i had to mve back to NE from VT this past july. she has visited me hrtr for a week in that time(we talk every night)... and i just got back from a visit to her... with which she proposed to me!sorry, i crying so much right now.
She is so special to me, and i miss her so much. she is someone that is so special... i mean hell, she can llok past my Crohn's w/o even blinking. She can endure my gut problems without even a blink, she loves me for me. my sense of humor... my drive(pursuing a firefighter career), andi am not certain why she loves me, but she does... and i treasure that.. I hold her close to my heart. she is not perfect and neither am i.
though i am smart, i know for a fact that she is smarter. she challenges me on all levels, and i ram usually the one enlightened at the end of a debate. She sees my faults and knows that they are a part of the package but not a part of me.i am the one who has had to endure the humiliation of shitting my pants... of having ppl NOT look at me as an equal once they hear a bowel movement... She never cringed. How did i ever cross paths with her? she is everything i dreamed of, with a great sense of humor, a good dose of humility and the ability to empathize... i do not know how much longer we can do this long-distance relationship because it hurts to not have her with me in person... We talk everyday, and most of the time it is ok, and "enough"... but every now and then i am overcome with emotion... today being on of those times

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
You are an awesome guy! Just the fact that you can express yourself so freely and are in touch with your emotions is extraordinary. She is really lucky!
Happy New Year!

My husband is so supportive and I thank God every day that I met him. We've been married almost 12 years and I was diagnosed with Crohn's over a year ago. He takes care of me and the kids when I'm having a particularly bad day.
I'm so excited for you! It sounds like you found the right person...
I wanted to comment because I've been almost exactly where you are. I lived in TN and was involved with a beautiful woman in OR (we met overseas). I would visit her often and she knew about my condition. I never thought someone could accept me like she has, and it was the biggest blessing in my life! I even had a really embarrassing accident on one of our first few dates and she was the most supportive person in the world.
Now we are married and I live in OR with her. My UC symptoms have significantly improved, and I know I could not be where I am now without her support. I am so excited for you!
God Bless, brother.
