Flare advice/no insurance

Hi :/
My specialist told me I was in remission for the first time since diagnosis around this time last year. I lost my awesome insurance in February and have been 'rationing' my meds since then. I was down to one Lialda a day, still have a few dozen left. With he exeption of fatigue, mucous, urgency and the big D, I've been pretty much sympom free and loving it.
Last week I noticed bright red 'spotting'. Nothing alarming, I figured I had a tear from straining or some such. Today, however, around 7pm there was more blood, just on the TP not in the stool. Six hours later, the TP is completely covered with bright red and dark red blood and the water is tinted red.
I haven't experienced bleeding since my first major flare in 2005. After lots of mesalamine and prednisone, I was blood free and proud to be until today. My specialist told me to go to the ER if I see blood but I cannot afford that kind of debt. I'm waiting to find out the date of my hearing to (hopefully) receive disability but I don't expect to hear from them for another few weeks.
My question to you all is this: Should I wait until Tuesday to go to the free clinic? Do any of you have exprience with flare/free clinics? Were they helpful with treatment? Or should I go to the ER and pray my family can cover the debt?
My mother is going in for an angioplasty on the 19th and I really hoped my symptoms would hold off until after that but no such luck :(

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
Personally, I think you need to call your GI doc and let him know what's going on, that you have blood in your stool and that you've not taking all your meds as prescribed. He needs to know that. If you're experiencing "fatigue, mucous, urgency and the big D" you're not technically symptom free.
Also, you can get the drugs for free from the manufacturer with a drs prescription if you qualify to get on a patient assistance program.
Don't depend completely on the disability, because most people don't get approved right away. If you are bleeding really bad its best to go to the hosp and work out the bill with one of their financial people.
