Fecal Transplant Update
AdventureEvryDay
Well it has been about 5 months now since my transplant and my C. Diff has not come back. My UC is still there but my life has done nothing but gotten better since the transplant. I cant even begin to tell you how much better and more confident I feel everyday since we conquered this demon. My Doc and I believe that the c. diff. has been my main problem for years and with that gone, hopefully forever (fingers crossed), my UC now has a chance to go into remission. I have not had one accident in about three months which is without a doubt a record for me. The urgency and frequency is diminishing slowly but surely on a daily basis. Mentally my mind and body have finally had a chance to "heal" and along with some therapy and support from professionals and my wonderful wife and son my world is opening up again. I failed to realize how much it was impacting my day to day activities to be constantly searching for bathrooms and worrying. It all crept up on me so slowly that my life had narrowed down to a daily battle with the beast. Dont get me wrong, a fecal transplant is not the cure all for this disease but it was a good starting point for me and set me on a path I had been searching for for a long time. The sun is shining today and my life is good, what more could I ask for, oh yeah we are also going fishing today. Cant forget the toilet paper, extra underwear and baby wipes though, I guess old habits are hard to break LOL. I wish all of you the best and remember your silver bullet is out there just keep searching. Charlie

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
What a beautiful, hopeful post and I'm so happy for you that you're regaining not only your health, but your mojo!
It's a lovely day here too in Milwaukee, so keep spreading that sunshine!

Hope your fishing trip is a great one! I love to fish here in Montana (gonna be sunny and 91 here today BTW) but I have been very hesitant about making a trip to the Yellowstone.

now, send some sunshine to us in BC, cuz we are flooding here and the rain won't stop.
