Fecal transplant in the books

Well it is official, my ass and my large intestine have had there 15 seconds of fame, better than never being famous I guess. First fecal transplant in Marquette, Michigan and first in the Upper Peninsula as far as we know.
At about 5p.m. last night I was infused with my donors "gift", god bless my wife, and now we will see what happens. After I woke up from the colonoscopy/ endoscopy I had a feeling that as soon as I sat up in bed my body would try and evacuate anything it had inside of it, I.E. my wifes doody, and sure enough as soon as I was vertical about a third of it came out. I was able to retain the rest until I at least got home then about another third came out in my pants, never fails of course. My body then woke me up around 12:30 am this morning and was screaming to get my ass on the toilet and get rid of the rest. I just hope I retained enough for a long enough period of time to do some good, god how I hope.
People actually stayed after there shift was over to watch the transplant which I thought was pretty cool. Bless that poor nurse who was pretty young and new from the looks of it in the recovery area. I am sure she never expected to have some guy come in and crap all over his bed and himself after a colonoscopy. Then clean himself up, strip the bed and come walking out from behind the curtain with nothing but a tiny towel wrapped around himself with an armload of poopy bedclothes. I gotta say it did not even phase me a bit, I think it is official that there is nothing taboo for me when it comes to pooping anymore.
Anyhow I hope this works, my wish is that it opens up a whole new opportunity for alternative treatment in this area for others, god please let it work if for no other reason than that. Thanks for all your support everyone. Patients grasshopper, patients. Charlie

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
You have such a good attitude Charlie. That's what I love about you.
I gotta say, almost every GI nurse I've encountered had been nothing but sweet and kind and have really good senses of humor. That job takes a special person for sure.
Tell your wife she's Queen for a Day. Hope you find some relief.

I'm glad to see your humor is still there. I don't know what I would do without it!
Best wishes!

Thank You For anything you may be able to offer.
I live near Fresno CA and find out next Friday when I go in for my fecal transplant. This is my 4th bout with c-diff in 9 months. Combine that with my UC and my poor colon wants some relief...
Glad to hear you are still c-diff free...
Yes, Charlie and all... At this point, I agree the pooping is a common topic in my household too and if other's can't take it...TMI..
Well... doo doo on them! I'm reaching that point.
