I was diagnosed with crohns disease over 13 years ago and have never been In remission. A couple weeks ago I was in the ER because I was in unbearable pain. I just had my second resection in march. They did a catscan and said I was having inflammation and a flare. After going to see my family doctor today for a follow up He told me the ct report showed that I had enlarged lymp nodes in my intestine. This was a surprise to me considering the dr that ordered it failed to tell me this even though it was underlined in the report to show improtance. This worried me a little because in my past I have never had this happen. Is this normal to have? And could this be causing my pain and other symptoms? The family doc couldn't tell me this and I don't see my gi dr for a couple more weeks.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the inflammation can cause them to swell. So can infection. I suppose anything swelling in your intestines can cause pain. So can the inflammation.
