You'll start feeling an urgency to go and so stay near the bathroom. You'll be ok. The prep is not nearly as crazy as people describe it so don't psyche yourself out, stay calm and try to relax during the process.
The colonoscopy itself is the easiest part and you'll be so relaxed from the sedation that you won't care at that point. I know it's wrong, but I pigged out on Mexican food after my last colonoscopy in December. I was just SO HUNGRY. Then I went home and slept for 5 hours.
It's like one day where I get to live out a fantasy: great drugs, eat what I want, lay on the couch watching bad TV and then slip into a nice long nap. Heaven.
Guess it all comes down to how you look at things, ha ha!
Did you get any paper work when they set up your procedure, like instructions, what time to be at the appt, etc? Those instructions would note if you're having sedation.
Try to just relax and don't get spooked by this stuff. If you're all amped up about it that makes the whole thing far more intense that it really is. You'll do fine.
