I've not lost hair from Lialda, but I have lost hair from another non UC drug I take. Sometimes it seems like we're losing more hair than we actually are, but I know for some people it can be noticable. It's a pity to stop a drug that appeared to be working due to hair loss. How much hair are you losing?
Sometimes the hair loss eases up after a while, or it falls out in cycles. I found the best way to deal with it was to cut a few inches off my hair, change my part, etc. Now it feels and looks healthier.
If you are stressed out, that can make your UC symptoms worse so I would suggest finding ways to cope with the that. Seeing a counselor is really helpful when you're trying to face these things.
I have been taking lialda for four months, and have lost more than half of my hair. I really dont want this to continue, because I imagine that being without hair would be just as bad as having colitis.
The doctor says that I will not loose all my hair, but I have a hard time believing him.
