I don't know much about the trial. I just received notice from CCFA about it and so I posted it on this forum in case anyone was interested. CCFA has some decent info about studies, clinical trials and providers.

I would like to learn more about this therapy myself.

I was put on Flagyl for a possible C-Diff infection and the Flagyl put me into remission. And my C-Diff test ended up being negative. When I told the doctor that I was feeling better while taking the Flagyl he told me to finish the dose because some people were able to achieve remission with antibiotics.

I was on Flagyl for about three months and it did nothing to help my Crohns. I had to have a resection and I started taking Humira. This was in 2008 and my active Crohns has not returned since. Lucky so far I have had no complications from the Humira. I do have problems with short bowel syndrome due to a number of resections over a 40 year period though. Just wish Humira was around in the 70's. It might had saved some valuable small intestine lost from the operations.
