How much would it cost to import the meds per month? Does your Doctor think Asacol would work for you?

I wish I knew more about this.

Is there away you can get a student visa to study in another country and therefore , take advantage of the meds and access in that country?

Does the university where you are currently studying offer a student health program that can help you?

Is there such a thing in Ethiopia as a social worker, someone who's affiliated with your doctor or your doctor's hospital or a goverment agency that can help you figure some of this out?

thank u all , i will google crohnsrules ok ,it is kind of u .at killcolities , yes he told me to have maintainace treatments like pentasa and asacol. there is no pharmacy that import from other places, since CD is not common here they will not have profit other resone it will be very expensive in our currency . but i search 120 tables of asacol will be around 120dollar ,i do not have any idea about pentasa .

at rmb i am trying that ,student visa , but the collages in USA say half payment , it is hard to get a full scholarship ,i can not pay that much money that is a night mare for me . well our country is very very poor especially in medical care , no social security and insurance ,if u do not have money u will be dead , do not even compare it with other countries.i am sorry for that , what can i do ? i do not have any choice my friends only hope and waithing a miracle, i really want to live longer and to have family guys , my dream is a lot , but sometimes it seems very dark for me,
any way stll i will not give up , i have a wonderfull friends that give me advice and support here like u . i am alone here with CD , it is rare and hard to get friends living with it . now i get u all, do u know i am happy ok, plz be with me .

I'm not sure getting to the U.S. would help you much. Here, unless you're rich, you can't afford medical care unless you have insurance and you can't afford personal insurance, so you have to get it through work. Not all jobs come with insurance. The least skilled, lowest paying ones definitely don't. And right now, higher level jobs are not that easy to come by here. I've worked for a company for 35 years and only got insurance ten years ago. It didn't include persciption insurance until three years ago and it doesn't pay any of my costs until I've spent $1000 on health care.

You might try for a country that has national health service (socialized medicine). Maybe call or write to their embassies and tell them your predicament. I don't know how far away from home you want to go. I work with a woman from Ghana. They have socialized medicine but I don't know if they are set up for care of Crohn's patients as, like Ethiopia, they may not have many. All European countries should be, however, since it's more prevalent there.

Definitly go to the proctor and gamble website and get in contact with them for their patient assistance program. Crohnsrules gave you a few links... and they look pretty good.
I am on the patient assistance program, otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford my medications either.

I will keep you in my thoughts. I'll look around, too, but I agree--I would write the major drug companies in the US and ask them for assistance.

i willl look for ward for the better life, i am not asking and wisheing a fantasy life, i wish is only tretament and care for my CD for the rest of my life , that is all i need, my health is priority for me.
