Day one on DS and you have a dozen friends already. I hope we made you feel all warm and fuzzy! I think you'll like it here. SO, pull up a PC and stay for a while!
linda, i haven't noticed anyone mention anything about exercising. ask your doc to get you into some pulmonary rehab. that and stop smoking are the best things you can do for yourself.
good luck with the docs.

I wouldn't be answering your door if I were you!
I am trying to stay active and walk as much as I can. I am making progress in my distance walking around the house.
I have been out of the hospital since January 18th and still trying to get my bearings.
I do not have a clue what is going to happen to me. At the hospital the dr said oxygen for 3 weeks now he says oxygen for 3 months. Lung function test shows 33% and then he said it will probable go up with my next test next month. Whey didn't he just take it next month to start with?
After next month appointment I guess that's it, I just do nothing according to him.
I am new at this and still trying to figure what to do.
The doorbell rings at the house of ill-repute
The madam answers the door to find a quadriplegic in a wheelchair smiling up at her
she says "can I help you sir?"
He say's "well, sure you can love, I came for some lady company"
the madam smirks and say's "well, what are you capable of doing?"
the man say's "I rang the doorbell didn't I!"
The one I saw he has a big brain and doesn't talk well with "real" people! Or at least that is what my husband tells me?
I am not good wish I didn't say that, but I am scared too.
with doctors.
All I remember mostly with one n only apt......is I should of saw himn years ago?
He didn't tell me anything about excerising
He didn't tell me about doing anything with breathing
He didn't tell me about walking
I have no idea what stage I am at ?
He doesn't say too much just I have 63% lung comp.
I wonder why he didn't do more tests?
Then put me on oxygen after a night time test>
How do you know to ask these questions on the first visit when you
were not sure why you are there?
So forgive me I can't believe I need oxygen // My husband says I'm doing better since being put on oxygen on the 1/01/10
I can't tell
I just had a blood test last week my doctor sent it to me/
I have no idea what it means? Except under red blood cell after I look it up.....stated LOW LEVEL so that is all I know.
Maybe my blood need oxygen?
Maybe my heart does or my chest pains?
I guess when I go back for the 2nd visit with him I will have these questions...maybe more?
Thank you for all you write about.
plus the jokes
I just want to stop.....I think with no knowledge that maybe I will just stop and maybe it will all go back before.
I think they made a mistake.
I wish I never went to that apt.
