I did learn this tip in rehab. They told me to take albuterol the first thing in the morning to open up my airways really good. Then take my spiriva. It is a powder so you inhale deep and fast to get the powder deep in your lungs and not all over you tongue and thereabouts. You'll hear a funny rattle when you do it right.
