I think it is great that you got into good housing and now have the possibility to make friends who are truly supportive to you. I'm sure you will be a lot better off in your new setting. I hope from now on your life will be more peaceful..I can imagine how difficult it must be for you, but in the long run you are much better off. I know you have been looking forward to your retirement...now you have a much better chance that it will be a good one!
Lots of hugs Heike
It does sound like you have moved into a good place. After your move, and a bit of rest, you will be able to meet new people, and be at peace for once.
I wish you happiness, and living alone is better than being lonely living with someone...Take this chance to take care of you now..

You just got a head start on many of us that may need to make similar moves in the future.
About your husband?. Well the other woman deserves him. He better hope that he never gets sick and she feels like him about that.
I will do the happy dance if I can manage. Good work kiddo.
I know this is a very scary time for you but the amenities at the new place sound amazing!
You just might find living alone in a fresh new setting to be the best thing that has ever happened to you!
My first husband left me years ago for a much younger woman (he is now beginning his fourth marriage) At the time I could only see it as a disaster and I had just begun a new and demanding job, along with care of the house and sons alone. But I was shocked to see how quickly I adapted to not coming home to a grumpy, anxious husband. A few years later I met the love of my life and had another 20 years of marriage, albeit a happy one this time. Sad to say that my second died of pancreatic cancer but I was blessed to have those wonderful years with him and am forever grateful.
I'm wishing you the very best for the future.
Hugs, Cindy

your new place sounds great though & hopefully you will make many new friends.
after my last divorce i realized there was a far worse loneliness than being alone.
and that is to be lonely with someone sitting in the same room as you.
today i live alone, but i am not lonely
glad you are back with us ((((HUGS))))
It sounds like you have a great new place to live in! The good thing about moving is you get to give everything a really good clean as you're putting it away. And you get to purge stuff you no longer need! Get family & friends to help you so you don't wear yourself out!
