Jarca, Yes, it sucks, and I am working on that Visa thing. I may have to even change banks, this really angered a lot of people.

But I am wondering why you asked BirdCat why she would want Spariva and Symbicort both? Don.t a lot of us use those two drugs? I know I do. My Symbicort is my steriod inhaler, and i use it twice a day, every 8-12 hours, and my Spariva is the maintenance inhaler that I use once every day. I also have a rescue inhaler that I seldom use, .....Just wondering.......

i was just curious about the simbycort as i'm always looking for things that maybe i should ask my dr about that may help me breath better.
i thought simbycort was a "maintenance" like spiriva so i was curious why someone would want to do 2 maintenance or once a dayers.
but it's a 2 x a day one---i didn't see dose when i looked it up online. so i can't do it anyway.

& i always thought there were maintenance/ once a day inhalers
& rescue inhalers or nebulizers
i didn't know there was another type.
so i was asking for my own info

but, also as birdcat is new here i didn't know if she had a rescue one or knew about them.

remember last september was the 1st time i found out how great nebulizer worked for me so i am always looking for info to ask my dr about.

I don't want to take both meds but was wondering why anyone would need two separate brands....because.... I thought they were basically the same ???? but maybe not.

I have a rescue inhaler ProAire and take Symbicort twice a day as
a maintenance.

Your symbicort is your steroid inhaler, and is used 1- 2 puffs twice a day, generaly, to keep down inflamation and is a bronchodialator that keeps your airways open and relaxed. Your spariva is your maintenance inhaler a 24 hour a day, (one capsule inhaled per day) that is not a steoid but keeps you open . Neither one is a rescue inhaler. I supppose it would be up to your doctor what you need, I have always wanted to just use the Spairva, so I could do away with the steroid, but never was brave enough to try it. Dr. Sanchez just says I need it. If you do not want to use the Symbicort for its inflammation relief, but need the steroid help, have your doctor order Pulmicort, which is just the steroid aspect of Symbicort, and is used in a nebulizer. This eliminates taking that nasty prednisone pill that does havoc with your entire body. Make sure Doctor ok's this first, if you are on prednisone, you do not do both.

Gracenme, if you scanned your check and sent it to show them it was made out all right, doesn't that show your information,the same as an e-check? Just asking....

yes my check shows the same info but it was sent to them by e mail not in account payment, I don't know that much about computers and hacking, so I have no idea , it just seemed to go the safest way to go as far as trying to keep my account safe without a virtual card or a prepaid card.

OK, I understand....I have Paypal so I am going to try doing an e-check thru them. That way I think it is safer, or just a regular e-check might be just as safe. Seems like they are real good about calling and verifying before charging your account.

On 5-16 I received notice that my package was being shipped.....I still haven't received it. Is this long normal?

That's normal. My last order took even longer than the "normal." They should send you a tracking number so you can check on its progress. It also can take 2 or 3 days getting through customs. But once it leaves there it gets to you pretty quick.

Back to answer birdcat's question. Yes Symbicort is a maintanance inhaler and so is spiriva. One is a steroid inhaler, the other is not, besides different meds, that is the difference in them.Hope that clears up your confusion

My package arrived yesterday. Very neatly packaged and complete. Takes a little over 2 weeks from notice it was being mailed. I'd always order a month ahead of when I run out. Still for the price you can't beat it.
