You just get a jug, throw it over your shoulder, bring it up to your mouth and blow. Might have to adjust the level of your jug. If ya just can't handle the over the shoulder thing just ask any ole' hillbilly how to play the flute. Gosh, I don't know..........thought everyone knew how to play the jug. Any music teachers in the crowd ??? Ever heard of a jug band ? with washboards and such ??
So glad to see your home again and hope you are feeling better.
Hugs, Lisa

Sitting up and laying down on each side while tapping.
Have your husband or son learn the technique, it really helps!
I don't think it's meant to be a cure, just a tool to help got up all the excess mucus that clogs airways. From the research I've done, it is also used, as you state, as a aid by doctors to collect sputum for early detection of tuberculosis and lung cancer. It's been in use in Japan and Canada, etc., for some time, however, in this country it had to pass FDA approval before it could be sold here.
Penny:
I, too, wonder if the cost will go up now that it's been approved.
Linda:
I, too, am aware of what your therapist has told you, and yes, that can help. For those who live alone, this might be helpful.
For myself, I'm not endorsing nor condemning the lung flute. I just tend to try to remember this is not a disease where one size fits all, and where it might not work for me, it may be for another. It does appear, though, this is not a gimmick , will not cause any harm and if the cost stays at $40, it might be worth a try for those who feel it may be of benefit.
