i didn't get the email....but it sounds like a joke to me. the one thing you have to keep in mind is that there is no cure for emphysema. so, alot of places make claims that can't be true. if it was, i'm sure the docs would use an ultra sound to clear out our lungs, dont' you think?

You are probably right. The medical field would know about some great new invention. They also added a link to click on so you can purchase this thing for $40.00.

Haven't heard of it either Linda. But I would be weary of anything that claims to improve or cure Emphysema. I'm surprised that DS lets some of these companies even advertise on here! Didn't used to be like that!

And be careful of Marge, we call her Curly. She tried to sell me some snake oil. You got to be careful of anybody that comes from the same place as the California Happy Cows!

This thing is supposed to break up mucus or something like that to clear your lungs.

Hopefully it doesn't set off some sort of sonic sound like a silent dog whistle.
It sounds like a fancier take on the old post op blow bottles and the vibration sounds interesting , I'll probably look into it more when approved but I didn't find any independent medical studies with the links that validated it as being any better than the old blow bottles.
Will recheck the FDA site again later.

It has been used in Japan, Canada and other European communities. It underwent trials here in the U.S. before FDA gave its approval, which was just recently. A prescription (for whatever reason) is only necessary for orders shipped to the United States. You can fax, email or send in a prescription. The up side of that is that perhaps with a doctor's prescription it will be covered by insurance. The cost is $40, and the company will begin taking orders February 1, 2010.
