I have had a lot of very good advice and have been given some very informative information about copd since I joined DS. But sometimes I find myself getting alittle confussed. One time I'm happy cause some people will right in and sayif you exersise and lose weight and do rehab you will make yourself stronger and then sometimes I read things like life excpectancy with copd is only about 20 years,maybe. And that it is progressive and we're just going to get progressively worse. So if i'm just going to get worse and not live very long why fool myself any more? Why exersise or go walking to try and strengthen up my lungs? My lungs are so full of mucus any more I really don't see the point in even walking. I can't breath! Someone try and help me figure out which way to go.
I'm not a doctor, but wonder if maybe you are getting depressed. This disease takes a toll on us. At one time, I felt the same way. But through sifting everything, I began to realize there is life after COPD. Please tell your doctor how you feel about all this.
