Hi All,

Ok, i'm done smoking. I got rid of the rest of them and threw them away.

I am no longer going to smoke. I'm quitting, it doesn't make me feel good, and i have lost interest in it, and want to live!!

Wish me luck!!! I have my sugar free bubble gum ready, and I am on the SMoking group too.

I quit smoking and I still have to do something with my hands. What I do is chew on ice all night long. I drink Crystal Lights and chew on the ice. It's workd so far. Best of luck to you. Believe me if I can quit anyone can. I smoked for 45 years 2 packs of the 120 long ones. I know you can do it.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you! I quit smoking before I found out I had COPD. It was soooo hard. I used oatmeal cream pies to quit. I just kept thinking how good it would feel to say " I don't smoke" and that would help and every time I got the urge for a smoke I would throw an oatmeal pie in my mouth. :) Yes, I did gain a few pounds, but believe me when I say I'm the better for it. LoL You sound strong in your words so I know you will succeed!

Boo, I have no doubt that you can do this! My belief is that motivation is 90% of quitting! I used the patches to quit 4 packs a day, and I never had any withdrawal symptoms and quit on the first try. Everyone is different though, so try whatever you have to to quit. My prayers are with you!

Prayers to Boo, Jazz, Steph, and all the quitters and trying to quit folks.
If you can just one day at a time, then when that day is over and the next one starts, think you don't want one now, and go for one more day...
Just what ever works, I have quit so many times, tried so many ways, and finally did it.
Blessings to you all, and hang in there...you were not born with a stick of poison in your mouth, so that means it does not belong there...

i always tell people if i can quit, anyone can (i never thought i could quit because i tried so many times & failed---but i never quit quitting and i'm finally free and clear for 2 1/2 years now)

My prayers are with all who are trying to quit. You can do it. I stopped after 55 years of smoking. When I smoked the last packs in my carton, I refused to buy any more. When the urge hit, I held a fake cigarette in my fingers and the urge passed. I haven't had a cigarette since February 14, 2009. You all can do it. We will support you 100%.
