I was curious, who got the h1n1 shot? I did not get it and my dr is not suggesting it to me at this point. Maybe because I am just 11 days out of the hospital.

I will ask about it on my next appointment.

Does anyone have any feed back on the vaccine?

A friend of my son's died back in October from complications of the H1N1. So sad, he was only 22 and was normally a very healthy young man.

Got both of them...........Regular Flu shot first and then the H1N1.... No side effects from either............. well, other than got a little older and a little balder !! Can't blame either shot for that though.

I think maybe I need some of that Purina that Jona takes !! His mane seems to keeping right on growing !! LOL ... Sorry, Jona

I take pred. and antibiotic on a daily basis and my Palm. Dr was adament? that I get both shots he gave me the flu shot but I had to go to the Health Dept. to get the swine flu shot at no cost.
If your the mother of a youngster I would be sure to mention it.
No side effects from either shot. I hardly left my house at all and had no company while it was in my area. Two ot three teens and a assit. principal died from it here.
My daughter is a school nurse and she thinks there is a strong possibility that it will return in the spring with a vengence.
I don't mean to scare you, Linda,but I think you should give it a lot of thought.

penny, you forgot to mention the fact that you've been oinking since you got that h1n1 shot! just so they realize it could be a side effect to it.

I got the H1N1 shot in October and 12 hours later all my muscles seized up, so I was walking in slow motion for a day and felt tired for a week. But after that I was fine.

Interesting that you folks mentioned prednisone, no one ever asked me if I had taken it just a couple of weeks earlier, which I did.

I only had the regular flu shot and I got it thru my work their free that way.
I wanted to get the H1N1 and the only day I could get I was in the hospital and miss it/
Now I have to get it thru the doctors office. Shoo that means not free!
Then I too wonder if it was safe.
I haven't taken Prednison for my lungs yet, mostly the doctors I see now won't do it??? who knows why?
I did take it without any problems for Pancreatits I had for apx
a month.
I don't know why the other doctors wont give it to me for my COPD?
