Were we reading the same article? I read that the combination of cir cumin and turmeric do so much to deal with inflammation and for helping to prevent dementia which often goes hand in hand with inflammation.

I had to see that it is all right with warfarin since I have to take that every day. Pharmacist was okay with it. I often wonder if inflammation is at the root of many, many disorders including cancer??

We should compare notes later. Mine is to arrive from Amazon Prime this week.

I had heard about turmeric so bought a big jar. Not too yummy. Sorta like paprika so I haven't used it much. Of course I've got cumin that I use in chili and hummus and really like. I'm all for avoiding any more dementia and staving off inflammation so I'm ready to go with them.
Any tasty ideas? I think I've tried the turmeric with tomatoes and cottage cheese which I love.

We use tumeric and curcumin in a lot of our dishes. We always thought of it having an Eastern Indian flavor. We are vegan and use it any rice and veggie dishes. We started using it because we heard that it had a lot of anti oxidants. My husband uses it because it is supposed to repair the inside of arteries.

Yes, they've been using this stuff a lot in India so it must be pretty safe and make you pretty smart: ). Wonder if they get dementia.
Anyway, my reading says you should check out any reactions with drugs you're taking. I put on tomatoes with cottage cheese again tonight and really liked it. Also good on roasted vegetables.

I have read that turmeric works well in chicken dishes, scrambled eggs, roasted vegetables, soups and fritattas. Also read that you want to use only a pinch of turmeric at a time since some find it too strong for their taste buds.

Yeah my daughter bought some high quality powder and made capsules for me. I took them for over a month and certainly didn't feel worst but I had to stop taking because I have a general allergy to anti-inflammatory drugs. My husband still takes them and feels great. If you have no problems with kidney function you should try them but just check with your doc first. COPD certainly has a significant inflammation component.

I added a small amount of turmeric to my scrambled egg beaters this morning and it tasted great. Still don't have my Amazon order of the combination of circumin and turmeric but it has been shipped.

I had another anti inflammatory supplement and I can't help but think that it suppressed the constant cough I had for the past few days. Feeling good except tired from lack of sleep. So nice to not be coughing though.

I read about turmeric and circumin plants in which you can grow yourself.I don't know how it works. Sure would be cheaper to grow the plants though.

Was told today by lung function test person to drink( homemade=boil ginger slowly for 15 minutes) ginger tea 3 times a day for my throat. She said it is a natural anti inflammatory.

I hope I will be happy with the results. I am just glad to be feeling better after seeing the Dr and getting a Nexium sample and a go ahead for the turmeric and cir cumin.

Tonight is about watching thunder storms here and so I am off to look for a new book to read in bed. Just finished "Silkworm" and it was very good.

The curry spices are all good for us and quite safe. I take a supplement capsule that contains all of them plus some milk thistle. Has helped my immune system and has all but eliminated any allergy symptoms. IMO it would be hard to get an effective dose just by putting the stuff on your food.
