Yes thank god for ouchless tape and that stretch wrap stuff but it is unsitely for a youngish woman like Bacon Seed and myself (I just turned 61yrs. young last Saturday) to be cursed with tissue paper old lady skin. I use symbicort 4 puffs a day and spriva once. I don't know if those are steroids but I take no predisone in 17 months but skin tearing and bruising getting worse.
I have noticed in the past 17 months that I have been sleeping with 02 that my hair is starting to get some of its strawberry blonde color back....am I imagining this?

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice. I am the "old lady" with the "old lady skin" and have a questions for you young chicks :) and Denny!! Yada, you said you use almond oil--is it working? I have been using emu oil and doesn't seem to help, although I have not been very diligent about it. Denny, you said it didn't help you either. Were you diligent--like how often, etc. Have you or anyone else used Retin A? I've used it on my face for the aging, but not on my arms. FYI - you can get it really cheap at ADC. Also, I found the best price for emu oil at pipingrock.com, as well as other supplements, creams, etc. Thanks all for the suggestions.

I use Almond oil a lot ,all the time I think it is working my skin is looking good .I put on my hair before I wash for 1/2 hour.
Sometime I use macadamia oil.
Since i was diagnosed with evil COPD most of the time I spend near the beach and all that great sunshine is doing me good.
Before I was diagnosed I it was shoving on my face that I am getting older,Not now.I have little sisesta most of the days when not working(I work for my self).

Thanks Yade. I will try the almond oil. Its not greasy like baby oil is it?
I even tried baby oil gel still too greasy. I'll see if I feel like stopping at a store on the way home. Right now all I can think of doing is getting to work....getting home and crawling back into bed. Makes me look soooooo lazy to my husband.

I put in on in the morning, sometimes in the evening, So I wouldn't call it due diligence, it did smooth the skin a bit but didn't stop me from incurring damage,,,,

I take 1000 units of vitamine D a day because I have very low levels in my blood. Recently, I noticed that my skin seems to be better. Still very dry but I am not bruising as much. By the way, I take advair and spiriva. Don't know if there is a connection but just puttin this out there.

I have never had thin skin until I started symbicort about 2 months ago--it helps my breathing but I get alot of tearing of the skin on my hands --very painful--is anything easy with this dang disease

I too use symbicort Been on it about a year and a half. So that is what ruined my arms and hands. Yes this disease is ungodly painful at times and soooooo cruel.
