People really can be stupid!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know why they would go out when they are sick, coughing, sneezing, etc:(

It sucks and really tough to get over it. Iv'e had three in two years - and never got back to where I was before the episode.
It's one of the reasons my wife an I go out to eat at off-peak hours, Aviod crowds of any kind. If somebody's coughing near me in a store, I head for the other corner of it.
Problem is, they figure it's just a simple cold - people don't die from just simple colds, do they? I have to admit, a handful of years back, I didn't think so either. Now I know.

Corter, I hear your frustration and your right, but I can't jump on the bandwagon because I have gone out with a cough. If I waited until I was cough free I might never be able to go out again. But when I cough I do cover my mouth, and I wash my hands a lot. -- Take care, Bill

I must say though that my husband has asthma and he coughs quite often even though he is not sick.

Good point you guys.........sometimes people coughing are not sick.........just coughing:(......But anyone coughing for any reason should at least cover their mouth and try not to spread any germs if they have them............bet we all have some kinda germ:(:(

I so agree with everyone. Sick people should stay home and cover their mouths when coughing. I've been retraining myself to not cough in my hands....to cough in toward my arm...lol or sometimes inside my jacket.

I'm disabled so I stay home, other than going to doctor appointments, but I've told friends and family. Don't come around me if you're sick. They don't listen.

I'm on my 14th day of recovery... I'm getting there but each time it takes a lil longer to get better. Take care

One of the very first things that I was made aware of was by a respiratory therapist.

Always have a N95 mask to slip on if you are in a crowd or near anyone that appears to not be well. it is easy to slip over your cannula and is not uncomfortable. Also great for days when you have to go out but pollen is heavy. I never leave home without one.......:)))

Thank you Anna. Now I don't have to go on my tirade about masks. I even carry the thinner paper ones in my purse for nit wits who don't have their own. We have to wear those big N95 ones you were talking about. I was at the Dr's office one day & they had the masks right there at the door & this woman was just sitting there hacking her head off. Makes ya want to scream! Debbie

i think after this year my family is finally understanding that i'm not just being "whimpy" not wanting to get exposed to illnesses, that it truly is life or death with me.
i understand not everyone can stay home when sick, but i go places that aren't "necessary" and there are those that come in hacking & announcing how sick they are!
i finally started getting rude, but you know some people just don't get it.
so i always carry hand sanatizer on my purse/oxygen bag, i carry a mask and ALWAYS get my flu shot as soon as they come out.

I know the frustrations of being somewhere and have people coughing around you. At my doctors office you are suppose to wear a mask in the eaiting room if you are sick or have a cough, but a lot of folks do not, especially kids.
So I got to where when i go I tell the desk clerk to tell my doctor I will be in the hall waiting. There is an area behind the waiting room where the door back door of the office opens to a hall with chairs. So far so good..
I guess the worse time was when i was flying back from Australia and about 3500 fet in the air with a person behind me coughing, and hacking and wipeing nose, and coughing, and never covered her mouth!!! It was rude and disgusting, But I could not move as I was on oxygen.

Thank you for all your replies. I understand that people sometimes just cough. But when your nose is running and you sound like you can't breath , it's time to stay home. I feel better knowing that there are people out there that understand this awful ailment. Most of you out there have more than one problem. ie diabetis, thyroid., IBS, etc. etc. Sometimes it is a burden but you just gotta get through it. Again... Thanks

It madness me also when people like hairdressers and others that I come into close contact with are coughing and sneezing I am going to get very strict about other peoples germs this virus I'm fighting now has taken the good out out of me.

People who don't have a lung problem just don't think that their hacking can really harm us-- there should be 30 second ads reminding people! When I become president, I will make sure this is done!! Lol
