When I can't sleep at night, I just tootle around DS and read.......amazing the things I stumble on...........LOL
I thought somebody wrote this post just for me lol I relate completely...idk whats the cause(s) are but I too have hard time falling asleep and staying asleep i have slept for about 3 hours a night broken up sleep that is. I have COPD, SLEEP APNEA (WHICH I USE A CPAP MACHINE & 2LITRE OF OXYGEN) i HAVE ATRIAL FLUTTER AND A KIDNYE ABNORMALITY THAT CAUSES ME TO HAVE CRITICALLY LOW MAGNESIOM LEVELS AND THAT SEEMS TO BE THE REAL CULPRIT. SORRY I HAVE NO ADVICE I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE I believe if we stick together this group can help us all find the answers or lead us in the right direction. I truly hope we all start gettin our ZZZzzzzzzzzzzz's...p.s. I always feel chronicly sick when i dont sleep enough and my pain in my leg muscles is intensified
Ok, it's 12:15am, wish me luck! I'm so tired, and do fall asleep quickly..hoping i don't wake up at 3am.

I take melatonin a couple of hours before bed and then read myself to sleep - works best for me. But then I am awake again around 4 a.m. I'm always tired and it's just a matter of degree from day to day.
It does take away from quality of life I admit.
I'm off to read soon.........

I also have degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, CHF , and COPD, and had back surgery, and arthritis in every spot you can think of!!! LOL!
Such a long laundry list of ailments, especially with me being only 50....and you being young too!!
But, so nice to have you post, and share, and i'm so glad you did!!! See? You and i have alot in common, and we wouldn't even know it, unless you posted!!
Hang in there, and hoping you get a good night's sleep tonight. I have to get up sometime, cause i'm so sore and stiff....
