Congenital Heart Disease Support Group

Congenital heart disease is heart disease in the newborn, and includes congenital heart defects, congenital arrythmias, cardiomyopathies, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). CHD can describe a wide variety of different abnormalities affecting the heart. CHD occurs when the heart or blood vessels near the heart does not develop properly before birth.

My DEAR seven-month old grandson is in need of a heart transplant due to idiopathic cardiomyopathy. LUCKY us. I need words of encouragement. Are there any words of encouragement?????

I know of 5 kids with heart transplants, 3 of them under the age of two. They are doing well. Due to my granddaughter's Congenital Heart disease and my nursing background I have a bit of knowledge and will be happy to talk and help in any way that I can. Love and Blessings, Diane

im 21 and i had a heart transplant 5 months ago
its been the bestthing that eva happerened to me
i can do so much more them i can ever dream off
i just life so much day ,loveing every day
the younger you are the easer to take a transplant
i just meet a 14 year old girl who had a transplant shes looking amazing

Hi i suffer from DCM ( Dilated Cardiomopathy ) and i am a meber of the DCM society it is a fantastic site which deals with all types of cardiomyopathy from children to adults and every one is very helpfull they are like one big family.
