going on a low protien diet is dangerous , this will cause the body to start breaking down muscle tissue to feed its self. This causes increased muscle waseting and low protien levels. when the protienlevel drops , the circulatory system loses the ability to keep the fluid in the circulation and you will begin haveing problems with fluid in the belly and edema.although red meat can contribute to amonia, there are many other ways to get protien in the diet. chicken fish nuts beans and protien drinks. follow your dr's advice and research everything.
