Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Sorry about that expression..I know in the " real world" it has negative conotations....here, it just means " listeners"... but, I don't know if anyone would know what I meant if I just said that..:-) :-)
This is just a shout out to those of you with us who, for whatever and your own reasons...join us in silence. I hope you find some comfort from the board.
I " lurked" some before I joined in. ( ha..I imagine there are those that wish I'd shut up now..:-) :-)
It's been said that the best conversationalists are those who listen well.
I'm not really going anywhere with this. Just kinda wanted to let you know that we are aware of your presence. As the topic heading states..I think of y'all as the silent partners of the CP board.
And..when I say, hugs to all/everyone...that includes you.
Hugs to ALL...jc

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Tomorrow is National Massachusetts Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Massachusetts? If so, tell us what's great about the Bay State!

strong bonds develop in this group and it can be intimidating to jump in when others seem to know each other so well, so i just want to join you in saying that if you do choose to watch and read quietly, you're still in our thoughts and prayers.
Although I haven't come in contact with many of you, I do feel a kinship and like to see your avitars come up. You all have distinct personalities, and strengths and weakness' and make for an interesting group of people. I learn many things by coming here and feel less alone in my struggle with pain.
But, I am content being in the back of the bus, just listening. So hello to those I haven't met openly.

I've gotten to where I don't respond as much as I use to, read alot and keep everyone in my prayers.
Of course I miss you Minnie! You are the jewel of the board for sweetness and sending love.
I also have missed you Dixie. I know you can't type on your ipad so maybe you can come back more later.
Thanks Jan for the thread and I second with Serenity and Bill and the rest, that this is a place for all.
Whether listening, commenting some or every post does not matter. We all have a place and we just have to be who we are.
I whole-heartedly agree. "Lurkers", y'all continue to simply sit in the back of the room, quietly, and don't feel like you need to raise your hand and speak, If you are ever ready to join in on a conversation, I want to welcome you to our group. It doesn't matter how often you "speak". This is a very warm and non-judgemental group.
Again, thanks JC for giving a "shout out" to all our Silent Partners, because they definitely do matter.
Hugs (((()))))
I used to lurk. I wasn't sure I qualified for this board and I mentioned this to a special dancing cow. I just didn't think my pain was as bad as others.
The pole dancing cow set me straight. There is no measure for pain. If you found this board you have pain.
wishing all less pain and more joy
love and peace

So much support. The love for each other in this group is incredible. I had support from the minute I jumped into the fray!
Serenity......'Loudie', made me smile ear to ear:-D
To all our 'Silent Partners'.....Hugs!

I am more of a listener than a talker although I can get going at times, when I feel right about it.
But there are times I just like to be quiet and this is one of those times. I am still here, listening, sending prayers out to those whose stories touch my heart.
I am grateful to know you all are ok with the lurking. We are all supporting each other in our separate ways. That's the beauty of being part of a group.... room for all kinds of people.
hugs to all lurkers, known and unknown,
and a special hug to you, Jan.
Ama
Thanks.......
