Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Its not the site that's important, technical difficulties work out eventually, its the people you've built relationships with for years that you stay for...
I'm afraid I may have bronchitis or pneumonia. I am taking augmentin now. Nothing seems to be helping the hacking cough. I have had whooping cough before & if it is that I just have to wait for the cough to go away.
I'll keep checking back here for msg from you.
Take care:-)
You didn't mention what your illness is?
Are you in pain? Sick? Let us know what is going on & how we can help.
Take care.
I'm not a big fan of Dr. bashing. Dr.'s can't do much for Celiac Disease. The only known treatment at this time is to not eat Gluten. It is becoming more of a widespread known issue and more and more food companies are making Gluten-Free products. You can walk around most Grocery Stores and find all kinds of Gluten Free foods.
Going out to eat is a bit trickier as the chance of their being Gluten Free options on the menu are about 50/50. But you can look up the restaurant's web page and see if they offer Gluten Free meals prior to going out so you know where you can go.
It sucks and its not easy, but if you stick to a Gluten free diet most of your symptoms should go away...unless you have something else going on with it.
Take care,
kat
But I'm back and replied to a thread about pain meds....can't remember what it was called. Just to let you know, I've been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis and fibro as my two main conditions. I've been a member of DS for many years. I used to mainly hang out on the fibro group, but then I was drawn to this group. I guess most of my questions and interests deal with how to manage chronic pain.
