Has anyone here that has tried this for pain/ getting off opioids ( so tired of dealing with these pills) been afraid of switching.? Not knowing how it would change things in your life etc.. Mostly ....I am really afraid of the actually switching over part -withdrawl and or pain- or whatever- you have to do to switch. I take quite a fair amount of Oxycodone Immediate release. I am curious how they determine your dose etc...

Oh shit I am just scared.

Another important thing to consider. I'm not sure what your illnesses are, but if you ever have to have surgery, you'll have to completely detox from Suboxone for a couple weeks prior to Surgery. You'd be without pain meds. Suboxone is made of 2 mds, Naloxone and Buprenorphine.

Naloxone is an opioid antagonist, it is used to reverse the effects of narcotic drugs. This could have a deadly effect on the anesthesia used and would render any narcotic pain meds they gave you useless. Just another one of the things you'd need to consider if using this med a a pain management medication.
