Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am still trying to get my DH to understand this also- it is the pain, and that is it- don't read into something that doesn't need to be read into- that is what I tell him.
And for lots of people it is more comfy to sleep in a recliner or on a couch- rather than in bed! So you are definitely not alone with that one!!!
Hope you find a comfy place to sleep and can get some rest!! {{{{HUGS}}}}
fortunately ,my partener is understanding ,he says he is grateful i dont wake him or he doesnt have to take the sofa(remember if your in chronic pain ,every time he moves it hurts you too).maybe you could gently point this out to him ,that you are doing it as not to cause him a sleepless night too.
the only other suggestion if he makes a big deal about it ,stay there ,as i`m certain a few nights of you tossing and turning ,he`ll be only too pleased that your prepared to leave him to sleep!!(btw ,it neednt interfere with any intimacy ,its just the sleep your trying to let him have peacefully)>good luck ,
hope you can make him see it from your point of view.the other alternetive ,if you havent slept in a long time ,is to see your dr and ask for something to help.
hugs my friend ,hope it wont last too long ,sharon x
It's a vicious cycle. I can't take sleep meds b/c i'm home alot by myself at night with the kids and am afraid I won't hear them if they need me.
I live for the weekends. I'll get in my recliner with my trusty heating pad and doze all day.
I could not wake mine with a bomb so I do not have to worry about that. But when he doesn't wear his CPAP mask, and I am having trouble getting comfy due to pain. There are night I do go to the couch and toss and turn there.I reassure him its not him, just sometimes I need to do it.He doesn't take it personal at all so I am lucky.
Better one of you gets rest than none of you

i tell him change the alarm or i sleep on couch and that's what i do
how long have you been married? me 20 years so some things arent that touchy with us
take care
My 4 year old sleeps with me right now and my husband sleeps in the spare room. Of course my son tosses and turns but he is going through a phase and he will not sleep alone.
I have a recliner in my room and spend a lot of time going between my bed and the recliner. Sucks.....but it is my life, unfortunately.
Good topic.

My one and three year olds both want to sleep with us- if I'm on the couch my three year old will come down to the couch and climb up w/ me!
Luckily the baby is a daddy's boy- so as long as daddy is home, at his side is where the baby stays.
But, sleeping- with two little ones, and one big kid I never get to worry about my own sleep- I have to make sure they all get their sleep!
One day I will get a recliner so I can sleep in that- no room for anyone else on it! LOL!@
