Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

So this probably sound weird, dumb, or leary of getting anything from it but here it is: Pinterest. I'm sure some of you are familiar with it and some out you are not, but it's just a new online fad where people can go (either make a free account just like we did here, or I believe that you can just look around without signing up, too) and you can "search " for literally anything and everything that you might have interest in . For example, I really liked using it to find good recipes -- ones that were simple to make and didn't take much time (because lord knows I want to know everything that could possible help conserve my spoons (search spoon theory...you will identify with it whole heartedly) and any energy I have each day....... Plus parenting tips and advice that were truly detailed and helpful......to funny and humorous things -- you will literally laugh out loud over and over again some of the stuff is so ridiculously hilarious....doc.
You would think that I would have already searched "chronic pain" by now, but until about a month ago I never had. But, let me tell you, when I finally did, I could not pull myself away from all the things I read and saw. (First let me say that on Pinterest, the "pins" are almost always short sweet and to the point so you can see a million things in each page...in an amazing mindless easy way...don't think that by trying this its an exhausting or tedious process to find what's meaningful to you) So, my chronic pain search uncovered "things" that literally touched my souls, things that I identified with more than anything I'd ever seen or read before, literally feeling like I was seeing written versions of what I feel physically, emotionally, mentally as if someone had looked inside me and articulated things in ways I never would have been able to. I felt such a sense of connection, validation, true understanding beyond my expectations.
I'm not sure if everyone would benefit the way I did since everyone's struggle is so personal but I have high hopes that you would all be surprised. Pinterest feels similar to being in "here" with you guys because it provides me with such a sense of relief...relief that I'm actually not alone like I feel in my everyday life. I found it to be really special and if even one of you can find a any solace in it the way that I do, this post will be more than worth it.
Please let me know what you guys think! I'm actually excited to hear back from anyone that explores it after reading this! Thanks!!! Go Pinterest, go!

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...
