In sick tomorrow I might go postal LoL
Its my hope to be removed from all narcotic opioid medications. I don't know what he can offer me though! Naproxin made me have reflux so badly I went to ER thinking I was having heart attack it hurt so badly center bottom chest! They put me on Nexium and discontinued naproxin but it helps! I think the dose was too strong! I dont remember dosing or number per day! Sadly I would rather take excederin than narcotics right now to see if the pain is too much or if I can go without the narcotic opioids!
I see him at 1:15pm thursday! If I don't see him I am changing pain clinics to the one my sister uses and now Mom is going to that clinic too!
Off topic moms in pain right now as they lowered her pain meds in hospital to vicodin or percoset from oxycottyn! Shes got spinal stenosis in lumbar and 24x7pain even on oxy!

Today I had two medical appointments, and I also met with the job developer from vocational rehab. I never imagined about a year ago when I qualified for vocational rehab due to migraines that I would later have a TIA and now a heart condition. The situation has gotten a lot more complicated. It's been a very emotional day, and I'm living in a new normal now since I had this TIA and I really...

Tomorrow is National Vermont Day!Have you ever lived in or visited Vermont? If so, tell us what's great about the Green Mountain State!

she is walking in PT but not out in the unit...they have her non ambulatory so she rides wheel chair....but I went in while she was in PT and she has my therapist who is ok....she was up with walker in PT and they moved her to stair steps as I left....so she is getting things she needs as she has about 13 stairs to her bedroom and more to basement to do laundry...yes she does her own laundry....at 91....hugs bill
thanks for asking
If you do not want to take narcotics or opiods, I do not understand why you are going to a pain clinic. They usually start you on Hydro then percocet if that does not help.
Anyway, I hope you and your Mother can start feeling better and get the relief you need soon.
Good luck.
Hugs!

anyway thursday I go in for knee block with shot in three different nerves....now I am wondering if it will be something that maybe sister should ride me there and then can drive me home after? I am going to call clinic to ask.....want clear picture of if I will be able to drive home after procedure...
Definitely have sister drive you. I don't care what the nurses say, everyone reacts differently and it is better to err on the side of caution. Been there, done that and almost wrecked car.
I hope it works for you. Please don't get hooked on Excedrin, when I feel better I will sent you more info on that but trust me when I say use very little of it. Gabapentin is a good nerve pill, but it has to build up before you really know if it will help. I think it can take 2 to 4 weeks depending on the person to be at full value.
I am sorry about your mom. Oxycontin is a 12 hour slow release that they normally use with Percocet as the breakthrough medication. I hope she can cope with the pain using Vicoden. She should be able to function better on that.
Sending lots of prayers and positive energy to you and your mom.
