Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

And a great acing gift.
At least he is beyond pain.

"Not an Angel

The young pup and the older dog lay on shaded sweet grass watching the reunions. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, some-times a whole family would approach the Rainbow Bridge, be greeted by their loving pets and cross the Bridge together.
The young pup playfully nipped at the older one. "Look, something wonderful is happening!" The older dog stood up and barked, "Quickly - get over to the path." "But that's not my owner" whined the pup, but he did as he was told.
Thousands of pets surged forward as this new figure walked along the path toward the Bridge. As the figure passed, each animal bowed his head in love and respect. The figure finally approached the Bridge and was met by a menagerie of joyous animals. Together, they all walked over the Bridge and disappeared.
The young pup was in awe. "Was that an angel?" he whispered. "No, son" the old dog replied. "That was more than an angel. That was a person who works animal rescue."

At Rainbow Bridge it has been said departed pets, who have been dearly loved by owners in life, play and wait in meadows. When they hear their loved ones call, they rush to meet them and they cross Rainbow Bridge together, never to be parted again.
What has not been told is the fate of the orphans, the strays, the unloved, abused or neglected fur babies who also play in the meadows and wait for someone to call their name and cross over the bridge with them.
In life these fur babies had no special person to love and care for them. And even though they may have been beaten, kicked, starved or otherwise abused or neglected, their hearts are only full of love and forgiveness!
Every time one of these special ones sees a human soul, they too become excited, hoping maybe this will be the person who will love them and take them across the bridge.
Sometimes their wait seems long, but suddenly one hears his name being called. Startled, heart beating wildly, he looks in the direction of the voice. All fear and sadness depart and he runs eagerly to meet his new loved one. Tears and licks, hugs and nudges abound.
The person who has called his name also was unloved, abused or neglected in life. Now they both have found the purity of unconditional love that was missing in life and together they cross over the Rainbow Bridge.

He had his heart attack back in July, and was hospitalized ever since. I knew when I read that he was still in the hospital that something was very, very wrong. I guess I was right.
I loved him in the Green Mile, but it was on "Two and 1/2 Men' that he made me laugh as Jake's girlfriend Celeste's over protective father. What a hoot! Tears streaming down this big man's face. It was too funny....
I encourage anyone who has not seen 'The Green Mile' to watch it. It is a gripping story, also starring Tom Hanks. Michael should have gotten an Oscar for his performance.
And all the animals are sitting at his feet in Heaven, knowing that they are in the presence of a great man.

and I saw that Michael had passed on NBC nightly news and was saddened by the news because his role in the green mile had touched me and I liked seeing him on Leno...I did not know about his PETA relationship but that is awesome and the loss will be huge....
I am glad that I am not alone is making a note about his passing being something to greive over....
