No TVs at this house! My college students thought they would be a distraction. :)
Pain sucks! Hugs -RJ
I just finished reading The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Alison Weir. I am so glad I didn't live back then! I want to spell his name Henery like it sounds in the song I'm Henery The Eighth I Am. You know the one?
Thanks for asking Calebjax. What is the sci-fi series you are watching on your mega screen TV? It must seem like you could walk right into it and join the cast? Sounds fun! Enjoy!
I watch lots of TV and Movies Netflix has become one of my new best friends.
Hiero , sometimes I wish we did not have so may TV's in our house. and sometimes I wish we had non maybe then we would get stuff done in stead of sitting on our butts watching tv.
All though if i did not have my TV this last year I think I would have gone Crazy.
I guess Im a rather boring person cause I can't leave the house much. So I do what I can!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
I am an avid reader as well, I just read the hunger games trilogy, which were very well written, the movie was very disappointing in comparison. And I'm getting ready to re-read Piers Anthony's incarnations of immortality series.
As far as what I'm watching on my big tv I am alternating between Farscape and Dr Who currently, and with my cathedral ceiling the acoustics here are fantastic as well.
Ok all, have fun I'm back to passing time.......
Kris.....

sooooo...thats my way of passing time

Maggie, animal rescue is very admirable. Good for you! I love all critters! I know what you mean abut TV. But it is a life saver for when you can't get out and about. It has been a friend that has never let me down, unless there is an outage. ;)
Kris, Ooow, Dr. Who and Farscape! Too cool! I love Dr. Who! :) And I was trying to tell you about cybermen, some time ago! LOL!
Amerika, I hope your eyes get better soon. That is scary.
Many of you like puzzles. What kind of puzzles do you like to do?
Should we start a thread on what we would like to do? It may get depressing...that would not be good.

sometimes the threads get so long i can't follow, but it's fun.
i used to read 3 books at once and i can barely get thru 3 pages now.
i have a free kindle app with my phone so i download the free books. i've gone thru a lot of sherlock holmes stories as i lay in bed. don't have to turn pages and can make the type large.
http://mikescomputerinfo.com/classic/curveball.htm this site is safe. there's also word search and other classic games.
i like all the crime shows, but i think i've seen them all, so i think i will get netflix again as it's less than extra cable. if you like british shows, the duchess of duke street was very good.
i need to get back into more, people-oriented things. i need more interaction. any ideas there? the nursing home near me closed.
long-winded again...
Serenityha, I like the sound of those kindle books. Sometimes my "new" hands & eyes don't do what I ask of them. lol
I wish I could help you out there with the socializing.
Try not to feel so self conscious. I like to read what you write and I am sure others do as well! :)
