Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Here's hoping that today will seem a little brighter....know that you have all of us right there with you. You know I was thinking that you should invite your lovely granddaughters over for tea and some of your yummy baked goods. And get them to assist you in clearing out your bedroom. I bet they would love helping you!!! And what then you could have some quality time with them as well. Hugs, Cathy
My room I never seem to get to. Like yours its huge but you would never know it.
I'm the opposite, spent so much time there after my surgeries I can't stand to be in there long. I want to re-do it in hopes of making it my sanctuary once again but until it no longer reminds of my recoveries I don't think I'll spend as much time in it.
As far as depression. been there done that.
I thought I knew depression after my parents died. My doctor said I suffered Post traumatic stress syndrome & when the CP hit & I became depressed I knew the difference. To me its a big black hole that your always trying to claw your way out of.
I feel it nagging at me & I desperately try to stay out of that hole.
I can't take any ADs & it scares me more then I can say.
My heart goes out to anyone going through it. Its an awful place to be.
I can say the depression came when no one understood & when I was told this is my life now & they handed me the meds to take.
I locked myself in my room & cried.
When no one would listen & told me it was in my head I laid in bed for weeks thinking either I was crazy & they were right, I was loosing my mind until the pain became more then I could handle.
Scared my family as I had never stayed for any length of time. In fact is was looking at the scared faces of my girls that forced me to face those doctors.
My heart goes out to you Cherry. Although this may not help I see you as one strong lady & you have my admiration & respect.
I hope & pray you have some good days a head of you soon.
