Its frustrating to me that I dont know what I said- therefore - how can I know my "guidelines" if they happen to be different for everybody? IMHO ...as I see things now.

Yes, do not worry, I cannot tell you how many warnings I have gotten from other boards for stuff which I had NO idea what I did LOL! My thought is if you haven't gotten any warnings, you haven't been on boards long enough:-)

ccbat... to be honest with you - I DIDN'T think it was you that pushed the abuse button because... even though I dont know you... I really don't think you operate that way.

I believe that the abuse button is something that is needed but NOT to be taken lightly -- that is a very serious word...and what it implies is really ugly.

But I will still stand by... no censorship ...

i thought i was the only one who made an abusive comment in the thread. was my comment the one everyone is referring to? if so, i think the report should be on me and not on the fair, ladyfair.

No Jen, it wasn't you. There was only one comment that went to far in my opinion. I think that person was having a bad day.

And CC, I never thought it was you. I may disagree with things you say but I do not think you are the type to run to the abuse button.

The only thing I can think of is that you labeled the post with cc's name and someone thought you were calling him out. This is not jr high school so it's not like any one was actually going to hurt him. I saw it as a thread to debate some ideas. Put in into one thread instead of debating the same issues in every thread. CC did not seem to have issue with it. If I am wrong CC, please let us know. I didn't see it as baiting, but maybe someone else did. Sigh. I do wish they would explain things before threads disappear and warnings go out.

I dont think cc is the type to have discussions with out his "big boy pants" on...to consider open discussion -- "abusive." Pretty sure he is past Jr high school like the rest of us...

I am not sure who did it but I do think that one comment is what set someone off. Alot of people take offense when people are called swear words. I think it is not a big deal per say I am mad that someone said it not to the extreme of hitting the abuse button but if they said it about me I would of but I do not think CC did I think someone did on his behalf he probably did not even know. That is what prompted the review of the post and your letter. Not you personally you just wrote the post and that was enough. I have not seen that person on.

I would have to agree with the consensus, one comment was made by one person, I think just the one time. I can't remember exactly what you posted. I do know the post everyone is referring too.....and that's the one I too think went way too far.

I am sorry that someone did that to you, there was only one person that got out of hand and use foul language, and that wasn't you! I just don't understand these people that go to the "principal's office", as soon as something that they did not agree with gets posted, it sucks.

One time I also got a letter, and I am still thinking; what did I do to deserve that????????????? Hold on to your courage and to your friends, I know who you are, an abusive is not one of them.

I guess I don't understand why one person's comment would get Lady in trouble and why the whole thread gets taken down instead of just removing the single comment. I know they can do it, they have done it before where it made the discussion incomprehensible because you couldn't figure out why people were reacting as they were. In this case there would have been little disruption to the flow of the thread in removing the single comment and maybe the few responses to that comment that named him.

Until someone said the 'offender' used fowl language I thought it was me who was 'out of line'. I didn't use fowl language or call names. But I may have been out of line in which case I apologize. Especially to lladyfair as she never got her questions answered. We all just posted...

Llady, I've never seen you post anything that could be considered abusive. That thread was a lively and heated debate but if we all thought, acted and agreed was "one entity" what purpose would we even have for a Group!!!!!
