I am up eating some chocolate chip cookies. My leg has been acting up and hoping I Can fall asleep tonight not that it is a big deal tonight as I dont have to get up early to get my niece to school as she has the day off it is records day. Hubby asked her what records are they playing and she said what is a record LOL I think it is funny when these kids dont remember what a record is.

I'm here, seems this is the only time I can get online lately. Not sure why. I had a decent day, didn't do much so didn't have great pain. I only had to take one dose of breakthrough med so that's a good day for me. I tried to go to bed about an hour ago but sleep is not coming so I grabbed the laptop. Its almost 1 am here and I should be sleeping but my physio appointment is late tomorrow so no need to get up early. Hope everyone is having a good night. Hugs,

Clearly, from my typing, I'm not up for posting my h to right. But I'm here-

I do the night shift myself. My daughter has seizures so we watch her in shifts. I bring her bassinet in the living room and stay awake with her from midnight until 7:00 am (later if my husband got to bed late). That's when I do my own work. (I run my own business as a copywriter.) Gets a little lonely so I check in here from time to time.

Not feeling too bad tonight. Felt really depressed earlier. Had kind of a snippy response to something I posted on another board and it made me cry-silly, I know, but it put a bad spin on the day. Pin wasn't awful today, though, so that was positive.

I get the 8 track reference. I am mostly the cassette generation but we had an 8 track player until I was about 7. Played out a Don Williams one in the car until my mom hid it.

I had one of those responses today! And. could'nt amend it. I felt like crying too. I don't know why. I'm usually not over sensitive. Maybe 'cause I'm feeling so rough.
That's a tough situation with your little one. You must be a strong woman.

I had a very nice day....did pretty good for 4 hrs sleep...hopefully tonight I will stay in dreamland a little longer.

BTW, I am old enough to remember 45's, 33's 78's, eight tracks, casettes and now CD's...I am old enough to get grumpy if there are any more changes....lol This old brain is tired!

Lindy, I refuse to buy anymore new versions of anything. I draw the line at CDs and DVDs. Whatever they invent from here on out is going to have to continue on without me!

I still have my 45s. For Christmas I got a unit that will record them onto CDs for me. I love my records. I like their sound.

I don't mind staying up with my little one. Her brother passed away (possibly from a seizure but we don't know) a year and a half ago so I'd rather be safe than sorry at this point. We spent a few days i the hospital last week and she had more MRIs and EEGs. Hopefully those tests will be helpful. The last set weren't.

Oh no my first car was a K car and it had a eight track player they were going out of style tho at the time and I Wanted a cassette mainly because the only eight tracks I had was van halen and AC/DC and the steve miller band and you can only listen so much to those.

Bledup oh my that is a long night do they not have anything like a matt she can sleep on that would beep if she was having a seizure?
That is so scary do they think she will outgrow it? as I know they have service dogs who can sense a seizure coming on.

I know for me I can stay up all night if I want to but if I had to I would be so tired I could not keep my eyes open.

We have a Snuza (hooks onto her diaper) and beeps if she stops breathing but it did little to reassure us. I just flipped my schedule so that I stay up all night and sleep during the day. It's like working third shift.

She has a very rare genetic disorder called biotinidase deficiency. It cause strokes, seizures, and severe mental retardation if not treated. Five years ago they had no way to control it but now they do. Unfortunately, our other son probably had it and it went undetected. She is being treated but for some reason isn't responding well to the only medication that is known to treat it. (That's her in the pic.)

I'm here reporting for night shift duties! Been a real bad day pain wise, I have grouched, snapped, grumped at and bit anything or anyone that came within a 8 foot radius of me.

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst my pain is at about a 13.... Every part of my body aches today, but my legs are the worst currently. Something is catching in my left knee, it clicks sends out a blinding white pain and then lets go, so i have fallen several times today.

I am as usual refusing help, i can do it just let me alone and ill get it done in time, what ever it is. The drugs aren't helping today and im a grouchy cuss at best.

Aside from my own personal hell of a day i am surviving, so to all i give a hearty love, peace and taco grease.....Kris.......

Bledpub, I'm so sorry about your son, that's a pain I can't imagine.I understand your need to stay up with your beautiful girl. I hope you get answers for her soon. That's one of those things there really aren't words for. I'm available to listen at all odd hours of the day or night about anything.
