I do not want to bore all of you with the little details so to make a long story a little shorter i wanted to ask everyone a ?
If my ins co says it is too soon to fill a new prescription for norco ( it is 3 days too early according to the ins which is a mistake ) so I told the pharmacy I would pay cash instead of going through my ins,,
they not only refused to let my pay cash the pharmacy tech got an attitude with me you would not believe ( then again maybe you would) I then asked her to give me my script back and told her I would take it to another pharmacy that would not give me a problem
she fails to give me back my script and starts typing something into the computer system i could tell by her demeanor it was not good..
i honestly thought she was not going to give it back to me and I think if she could have gotten away with it she would have not given it back...
anyhow she finally gave it back....I go to another pharmacy and told them exactly what happened and asked them if I could pay cash for my norco...
this pharmacist took about 20 min with my script acting like she was going to fill it...only to be told after the 20 min that she too would not allow me to pay cash because the ins says it is too soon!

Iam so frustrated by this time...but at least she was nice about it...
I was going to go to yet another pharmacy that does not have my ins info and tell them I have no ins and that I want my medications with cash
my ? is this:
do pharmacies have a universal internet system where they type info about a patient into it to keep them from getting their meds in a situation like mine?
I just do not understand why I cannot get my medication paying cash if I choose to?
the mail order pharmacy that I used to use is the one who has a hold on my medication....as I had asked them to get a refill from my doctor BUT I never received it
I guess they ran it through the system like as if I got a refill even though i never got the medication....
if you know anything about this issue please write to me..
Iam just sick and tired of being treated like a criminal because i take narcotic pain medication...and that is exactly what I get treated like it is terrible!

I started having the same issues again. Then my pain management doc started giving me different amount of meds. One month this much, the next a lower amount without warning. Then they switched from paper scripts to electronic scripts and the pharmacy would claim they never got the electronic script. Big issues. I had a huge blow out with both pharmacy and doc and just decided to get discharged from pain management. Too much bull for three pills a day. I took a few days off work and detoxed and now I live on 4000 mgs a day of Tylenol and Aleve, along with an occasional 5 mgs of Norco. I still have some pills saved up because I knew this day would come. Now my blood thickness keeps on going too high. I can't stabilize my Warfarin with all of the OTC meds. So I let the INR run high as long as it does not go over a 5.0. I'm tired of micromanaging every little freaking thing. If the Tylenol screws up my fatty liver and shuts it down, it's a win win. I get a ride out of this world. If they Aleve causes a bleeding ulcer and I bleed out, also another free ride out of this world. At lease I'm no longer a slave to pain management and to the pharmacists. I do understand that some of you guys have more severe pain and need meds. I still have horrible days and just sit on the couch a lot. It is what it is. If it gets bad again, I might have to go crawling back to the docs. But for now, I will keep the OTC meds despite doc's objecting. My PCP no longer writes pain med scripts for fear of the DEA taking his license. He won't even write 20 mgs a day. Then he complains that I'm gonna bleed to death from the OTC meds. Well, what are we supposed to take when we are on blood thinners. I do like the OTC meds. They help. I take 1000 mgs of Tylenol every 3-4 hours while awake.

Why don't you see another pain management doctor? You are taking too much Tylenol too frequently. You should only take 1,000 mgs no more than every six hours.
