Hi to all,


I went to the Pain Clinic I had 8 inections in my back I was fine for 2 days then wham this morning pain in my lower back and hips constipation so carnt go to loo nice.....


Talk about Stress what do I do it's beyond a joke.


Trying to loose weight not happening I am also diabetic type 2 high bloods too.

What is your Diagnosis? I'm assuming you got Corticosteroid/Lidocaine or some pain agent injections. Its not unusual for them not to work. Generally about 3 out of 5 people actually get decent pain relief that lasts for a few weeks from the injections.

As for the constipation, thats not a side effect of Steroid Injections....have you started any other new meds or changed your diet?

I had injects and they worked for 4-6 hours so it doesn't always work for every one. never heard of constipation as a side effect . but the best thing I found for constipation is restorolax down in us called mirolax it works fantastic no cramping or pain vey gentle but you need to use a tbsp. daily. you can put in coffee tea or juice doesn't tatse funny and no lumps no grit. Take care . I hope you have other pain meds you can rely on. good luck hugs casey

Have you followed up with your doc about this?

Not trying to be an alarmist, but any time they do anything around the spine, it's good to let them know about any changes in sensation, bladder, or bowels.

I would call your docs office if only to let them know.

Hi Snowy!! I understand the frustration, you feel fine a couple of days and then... it’s back.. I really hope you find something that helps with the pain and although I now the feeling “when it rains it pours” all too well, try to focus on things that make you happy, and I’m not saying this as an optimistic who thinks coloring a couple mandalas will maje it all go away hahaha sadly, it doesn’t... but I’ve been reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and it’s been helping! Hope it can help and if you need to vent, I’m here for you!! -hugs-
