Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. Your still learning your new bounds.
I'm still learning mine,and I've been at a while to.LOL.Gentle Healing hugs.
I can't hold my arms up long enough to do my hair so I let it grow long after I was diagnosed with FMS. Now if its too hot I just put it in a ponytail - not the look I prefer but its cooler and I'm learning not to care.
Hope you are doing better today ((((gentle hugs)))) and spoons for today.
Someone asked if I had this pain in other areas...the answer is, YES! I feel so tight and I have pain that goes throughou my body like something is pulling ever tendon as tight as it can be.
Neck, shoulders, chest, ribs, back, elbows, wrists, hips and on down to me feet. I wish I knew what the heck was going on.
I called my Ortho...again...first thing this morning and was told he's on vacation until next week. So I called my regular clinic and they aren't answering the phone...wth???
Something's gotta give...
When you have these health challenges, you may have to look for work that is less physically taxing and/or look into disability. I even had to give up my desk job in 2010, but I have to do hubby and daughter's hair on the rare good days. It just kills me and I am DOWN for days afterward. I can understand how challenging it must be for you and am just trying to give you ideas.
On the hair front, I just went and got a perm last week. First time in 10 years. My hair is long and I just cannot hold my hands/arms up to do anything, so I went back to the 80s with a curly perm. LOL (I taught my hubby how to apply color for me, one of the benefits of having been a corporate trainer in a past life.)
I sure hope you feel better soon and your hair gets beyond that unruly stage soon! Gentle Hugs!
