Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I understand what you are going through. I had the ulcers, and I used the stockings. Even with the stockings they could not keep the BP up high enough and it did not stop the sores. I had surgery in December to cauterize the damaged veins. I no longer have the sores or the pain. unfortunately it did not help much with the BP. But we think the other medical issues are causing the BP issue.
I have to agree with most of the post, distraction is so important.
The kids set up Netflix for me. I did not watch TV growing up and I set up a TV room for my husband to watch the news. So the point is that almost everything on Netflixs is new to me, I put on earphones so I only focus on the TV.
I went to a pain management program. I taught biofeedback. I learned Meditation and breathing. Both are so important in helping control pain and also to distract you from your pain.
Good to meet you, I look forward to getting to know you better.
