Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

anyway saying NO is never easy to loved ones...yesterday my mom asked me to go to bank for her because I was headed to bank and I had to say no because she is about 8miles further than I was going to get to my bank....her bank is close to her and she drives so I let her do her own stuff...I did go to my bank and straight back home....and she got to her bank too
Your daughter is not thinking. If it was your first day of driving, you should not be driving with kids in the car. If anything happened you would have a hard time not blaming yourself. That would be so unfair to you. Your daughter is old enough to have children, she is old enough to make arrangements to take care of her children.
I can no longer drive and it is very difficult for everyone to accept. We can only do what we can do. Kids will have to learn to respect that.
Take care and don't feel bad for pacing yourself and being smart enough to know when to say NO!

I drove twice last week. Once was to the espresso stand. The second time was 50 miles through traffic heck to pick up hubby from the airport. I won't be driving again for a long time - it just huts too much.
As far as saying "no" I had major issues doing that and felt terribly guilty so I didn't do it. I have worked very hard trying to set boundaries for myself and I can only do what I can. As a very wise person once told me "you can't die from guilt".
